We are not a band.
A few musicians.
A few theatre people.
A few storytellers.
A few professional troublemakers.
Hooligaanism began where most Bengali ideas begin—
in adda.
আমরা চিৎকার।
We are a scream.
Folk theatre taught us to be loud. Jatra taught us to be honest. The street taught us to be unafraid. Our awaj comes from harmoniums, from rickshaw bells, from the silence after a slogan dies down on the streets of our para.
আমরা মাটি।
We are the soil.
Every gaan is a love letter and a Molotov. Every show is a protest and a prayer. We are here to bring people together, to capture the matir gondho of Bengal, to remind every manush that they are still alive, still capable of rage, bhalobasha, and tenderness in the same breath.
